The twoband anemonefish is a small damselfish, typically orange with two white bands crossing its body. It lives in a close association with host anemones in shallow tropical reefs, rarely venturing far from shelter. Like other anemonefish, it is immune to anemone stings and shelters among the tentacles in exchange for removing parasites and defending the anemone from predators. Divers will find them in pairs or small groups around anemones in Indo-Pacific waters.
