Conger Eel

The Conger Eel is a robust, large predatory eel found in rocky reefs and crevices across temperate and subtropical waters. Distinguished by its thick, muscular body and prominent teeth, it hunts nocturnally, emerging from its lair to feed on fish and crustaceans. Divers often spot them at dusk or night, peering from crevices with characteristic alert posture. Approach with caution—they can be aggressive if cornered.
