Rank
Species

The Yucatán Molly is a livebearing fish native to the freshwater and brackish waters of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. Males are notably smaller than females and display an enlarged dorsal fin—their most eye-catching feature—which they raise during courtship displays. These hardy, peaceful fish tolerate a range of water conditions and are popular in both aquarium hobby and local subsistence fisheries throughout their range.
