Sea Loch Anemone

The Sea Loch Anemone is a small, solitary anemone found in cool northern waters, typically in sheltered sea lochs and bays. It attaches to rock or kelp holdfasts in shallow to moderate depths, often hidden among seaweed or in crevices. Recognisable by its simple column and relatively few tentacles, it feeds on small planktonic organisms and organic debris. These anemones are inconspicuous residents of their habitat and rarely encountered except by divers specifically exploring rocky shallows and kelp forests.
