Pollack

Pollack are stocky, greenish-brown gadiformes found over rocky and kelp-covered grounds in temperate Atlantic waters. They resemble cod but are slimmer, with a protruding lower jaw and a lateral line that is lighter than the body. Solitary or in small groups, they hunt small fish and crustaceans among boulders and crevices, typically between 20 and 100 metres. Divers often spot them resting near rocky outcrops, where they are curious but wary.
