Pacific Crevalle Jack

The Pacific Crevalle Jack is a streamlined, silvery predator found in tropical and warm temperate waters of the eastern Pacific. Growing to around 1 metre, it hunts in small to large schools, often near reefs and in open water, where divers may spot it moving with explosive speed through bait balls or patrolling the blue. Its distinctive dark chest patch and greenish back make it easy to identify, and its aggressive hunting behaviour and powerful build are unmistakable.
