Mahi-Mahi

Mahi-mahi are colourful, fast-moving pelagic fish that roam open water and can occasionally be encountered by divers in tropical and subtropical seas. Males develop a blunt, steep forehead as they mature, while females have a more rounded head; both sexes display bright greens, blues, and yellows that intensify during feeding or courtship. These voracious hunters pursue small fish and squid near the surface, often in loose schools, and are known for their energetic, acrobatic behaviour when pursuing prey.
