Species

The mado is a small, laterally compressed fish found in Indo-Pacific coral reef environments. This species inhabits shallow reef areas and is recognisable by its deep, disc-like body shape. Divers are most likely to encounter mado in reef crevices and among coral branches, where it feeds on small invertebrates and plankton.
