Goldsinny Wrasse

The goldsinny wrasse is a small, colourful member of the wrasse family found in shallow rocky and kelp-dominated habitats across the northeast Atlantic and North Sea. Adults typically reach 15–20 cm and display variable colouration ranging from orange-red to greenish depending on sex, mood, and season. These active fish dart among rocks and seaweed hunting for small crustaceans and molluscs, and are a frequent sight for divers exploring temperate reefs and rocky outcrops in depths of 2–40 metres.
