Giant Anemone

The Giant Anemone is a large, colourful sea anemone found in shallow tropical and subtropical reefs, typically at depths of 1–20 metres. Its column and tentacles display vibrant hues—often purple, pink, or green—and can extend to 30 cm or more across. These anemones are usually solitary and may host small fish or shrimp in their tentacles, though unlike clownfish relationships, these residents do not always enjoy mutual protection. Divers often spot them wedged in reef crevices or on sandy patches, where they remain fairly sedentary between feeding.
