Demoiselle

Demoiselles are small, dark damselfish found in rocky and coral reef habitats across temperate and subtropical waters. They are highly territorial and aggressive for their size, defending feeding areas and nesting sites with vigour. Look for them darting in and out of crevices, often in loose aggregations. Their dark coloration and quick, jerky swimming style make them easy to spot once the eye adjusts to their preferred rocky terrain.
