The clown triggerfish is unmistakable: a dark body decorated with white spots and a striking white-edged mouth that looks perpetually grinning. Found on coral reefs across the Indo-Pacific, usually at depths between 20 and 60 metres, it hunts small fish and crustaceans with quick, aggressive lunges.
