The bull ray is a robust, broad-winged ray found in coastal and estuarine waters across tropical and warm-temperate regions. Its flattened body, grey-brown colouration, and distinctive snout give it a characteristic silhouette. It feeds on the seabed, using its snout to probe sand and mud for molluscs, crustaceans, and small fish. Divers typically encounter it in depths of 5–40 metres, either resting on the bottom or gliding through shallow bays.
