The Bull Ray is a medium-sized eagle ray found in coastal waters of the western Atlantic. It has a distinctive diamond-shaped body with a long, whip-like tail and a pointed snout, easily confused with other Myliobatis species but identifiable by its relatively slender tail. These rays hunt molluscs and crustaceans on sandy and muddy seabeds, often digging into the substrate with their snouts and leaving characteristic feeding pits. They are generally solitary or found in small groups, though they may aggregate seasonally.
