Black Striped Salema

The Black Striped Salema is a small schooling fish found in tropical and subtropical waters, recognisable by dark stripes running along its silvery body. Schools of these fish frequently congregate around reefs and rocky outcrops, where they browse on algae and small organisms. Divers often encounter them at moderate depths, usually in loose aggregations that move together when disturbed.
