The black-margined nudibranch is a small, colourful sea slug found on coral reefs and rocky areas at shallow depths. Its body is typically cream or pale yellow with distinctive dark borders along the edges of its foot and rhinophores, making it recognisable even at a glance. Like other nudibranchs, it feeds on small organisms and hydroids, relying on camouflage and chemical defence rather than speed to survive. Patience and a close look under rocks or coral rubble will usually reward divers with a sighting.
