Algae Octopus

The Algae Octopus is a small, cryptic cephalopod found in shallow tropical and subtropical waters across the Indo-Pacific. It typically lives among seagrass beds and coral rubble, where it hunts small crustaceans and molluscs under cover of darkness. This species is a master of camouflage, changing colour and texture to blend seamlessly with its surroundings—a useful trick when foraging in open ground where cover is sparse.
